The best evening

Hiya fans 👋,

Today was definitely the best day where I actually learnt to serve! Well, I did lots of other fun things too like going on the hitting wall. It was the most hottest, muggiest evening I had been to the courts. I was practicing all my shots on the hitting wall. A few weeks ago, I started on yellow balls and now I am a total expert at them. But if you hit a light ball the ball will probably go to a shorter distance than you so watch out 🎾. The hitting wall is actually the hardest thing that I use to play tennis on and it is hard work 😅!

After a while, dad finally told me to come over and do some serves with Sasha. It was the most amazing bit of the whole evening! Here are a few tips of serving:

  • Start with holding the racket with the chopper grip (I find it a bit hard using chopper grip because I never feel like I'm going to hit it right)
  • Hold the racket above your head
  • Put the racket behind your back (scratch your back) and make sure that the elbow is facing forwards
  • Then, as hard as you can, throw the racket up
Then it was time to go. We packed our bags and drove home. The very first thing I told my mum was that I finally hit a serve! Thanks for reading my blog.

Michaela xxx 💜
